On the downward slope...

Friday was a great day for me, officially 31 weeks pregnant...It feels so good to say that I have less than 10 weeks left!!! Being pregnant for what seems like the last 2 years has really taken its toll on my body and Im ready to be done for a while. With Grace being in such a mobile and adventurous stage, I am just totally worn out. Not to mention I have hit the stage where sleep becomes difficult because I can't stay comfortable for more than 30-60 minutes at a time. Im just glad to be on the downward slope...Now its time to start getting things ready for Olivia's awaited arrival.
We have been teaching Grace how to be gentle and sweet with her new baby doll (from Grandma and Grandpa Moline). She gets very excited when Jeff and I are the ones holding the baby, and she loves to give it kisses. Although, she also likes to bite its hands and feet and stick her fingers in the eyes, so we will definitely have to be careful not to leave Olivia within reach of curious little hands. We hope she adjusts quickly to having a new sibling, and are praying for lots of patience so that Grace feels just as loved and adored as she is now. (see attached pic of Gracie and her new doll)
We just had Grace's 9 month check-up ( a month late), and as some of you already heard, she is in perfect health. A little thin, only 18.7lbs, but topping the charts for height 28 3/4in. We were very pleased to hear that she is developmentally right on track. No shots this time, Phew!
Well, for those of you who are coming to the shower next week, I can't wait to see you!!! Im very excited to be coming for a visit since it will be the last time we come over until early next spring. We decided we wouldnt be driving the pass this winter with a newborn and a 1 yr. old, talk about stressful!!! So I hope to see many of you while we are in town.
Have a great week everyone, Happy Monday!!!!
