Here is the latest news re: Baby Joel for those of you who were praying for him.
Born Sunday, March 1, 2009. 6lb 15 oz, 19.5in. He has had a rough beginning, transported to sacred heart for premature lungs, but is now doing very well and we are hoping to leave the NICU soon. Thank you to everyone for their prayers.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Ive been anxious to get online and let you know how things are going. I finally got a wi fy signal. so.... the past week been crazy! I went into labor sunday afternoon, they delivered Joel in the evening and with in minutes they determined that he needed to be sent to Sacred Heart in Spokane. So I got a minute with him and then TIm and Joel flew to Spokane. Joels lungs were premature (even though he was 38 weeks) He was in respitory distress. It was so hard spending the night in the hospital with out him and Tim. Thankfully my dr. discharged me a day early so I could go to spokane. Mom drove me up and TIm and I have been here since. Everyday he has made huge progress. As of today he isnt on oxygen, iv or anything. His x rays show his lungs are fine now. THey moved him to a regular bassinet and all they are monitoring is his eating. He seems to be eating well and we are crossing our fingers and praying we can go home within a couple days. Uh...what a nightmare. You never think something like that is going to happen. But other than being exhausted we are doing well now, its so good to see our little boy all better. Im going to post pictures now. So hopefully we will be home soon!!!
Prayer is so powerful, and as it proved to be so with my Mom's story it has become evident yet again that He is listening and He is GREAT!
We are so happy for the Hutchison's and will continue to pray for progress and good health. We can't wait to meet him!
