Already getting excited about November...

So as you all know, both are babes will be celebrating birthdays this November and I can't wait!!! Grandma Moline and I have already started putting our heads together on planning the big event! I have felt a little guilty having not been able to celebrate Gracie's 1st b-day last year...Olivia's birth kind of put a halt on that, so I decided that this year...since i managed to avoid yet another pregnancy, LOL...that I would make up for it and have one heck of a party for them!

So for those of you who need extra advance notice for your work schedules, the big party will be on Saturday, November 14. We are praying that we don't get any early season snow, so that those of you on the west side of the pass can make it over! Invitations, will go out beginning of October as a second reminder.

We don't really have a theme going this year, but as a side note, we are really trying to focus on "imaginative play"...Gracie has a new found love for her babies and mothers them so sweetly, and I can't wait to introduce other forms of imaginative play.
4 months to go and I need to take a chill pill, I think its going to be more fun for me than the girls, until the actual day...Im giddy about it. :)

As far as an update...I could go on for days telling you about how much the girls have done in the last two weeks. Its amazing to watch them grow and learn.

Just yesterday Olivia decided at least half the time that she would crawl on her knees instead of her belly, army crawl. We realized she could do this a couple weeks ago when we played outside, but for some reason has preferred scooting when in the house. She LOVES to eat, and has been quite stubborn lately about being able to feed herself. When its time to eat, if i dont put something on her tray for her to feed herself, she will refuse to eat what im offering her on the spoon. (little stinker) She loves canned peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, peaches and pears...but honestly she will eat anything.

Gracie is just fascinating to watch...she really enjoys reading her books, and playing with her babies, as mentioned above. But recently has started trying to engage others in her play. She is always telling Liv and Jeremy to "come pay" and "here go"(when giving a toy). With most of the toys in the house, she is very generous and willing to share...some on the other hand she refuses and she will respond with "NO MINE"...the typical language of toddlers. We are very proud of her for being so sweet with Liv, most of the time anyway. Sometimes she gets a little too rough, but most of the time she is giving kisses and will rub her head. As in previous blogs, her vocabulary is amazing! New words all the time, its hard to keep up with her. She will still occasionally speak in her own language and we have no idea what she is talking about, despite the fact that she will repeat whatever phrase for you two or three times. But most of the time its clear as a bell or very easy to figure out. Unfortunately for Jeff and I, she is in a stage of running. She has had multiple owies in the last week or so from her bolting through the house without a care in the world and we worry that she is going to end up with stitches or hurting Liv.
We hope this is just a phase, but from what we are hearing from those around us is...well that we are delirious to think such a thing.

Well this post has turned into a novel...sorry bout that. Hope everyone is having a great week!
