Yesterday we took Liv in for her 2 month appointment as she will be two months old on Friday; how the time flies. She weighed 12lb 1oz and was 23 inches long. Proof that im not exaggerating when I say that this girl LOVES to eat!!! She also had her first round of immunizations, poor babe, and did really well, but slept away most of the afternoon.
Gracie has been feeling better now since Monday morning, thank goodness! I still don't even know what kind of virus she had, and thankfully, none of us ended up getting it. Not so fortunate for me though, I have a cold AGAIN! These darn sinuses just dont want to stay clear.
As for Grannie Smith....The doctors decided to remove her drain on Monday because she seemed to be making such wonderful progress at absorbing the extra fluid. Then yesterday they did a cat scan only to find that she is still storing some of the extra fluid instead of absorbing it. So, today at 1:00 they are going to operate and put in a permanent drain called a shunt. The surgery is somewhat invasive and because she is still having the spasms in her ventricals she is still largely at risk for stroke...but the shunt itself is a great tool and causes no lasting harm as long as the procedure itself is successful. So please keep her in your thoughts and prayers today.
Thanks
